Jawad Khalili

Solicitor

Jawad was admitted to practice in April 2023. He is a graduate of a double degree of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of International Studies at the University of South Australian and University of Adelaide respectively. Jawad has a keen interest in Migration Law, Commercial Law, Employment and Industrial Law, Commercial Law, Personal Injury Law and Humanitarian Law. Iqbal works from our Adelaide office.

Life before joining Beena Rezaee Legal & Migration

Before joining Beena Rezaee Legal & Migration, Jawad worked as a Migration Lawyers at the Australian Refugee Association. He also worked as a Filed Manager at the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Jawad also assisted the Legal Advice Clinic UniSA with giving legal advice to clients under close supervision of a qualified lawyer on a range of legal matters. Jawad is willing to develop and maintain relationships with clients, manage cases from start to finish, and he enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Jawad speaks multiple languages. In 2009 he received “The Award of Excellence” in Persian Language. Since 2014, Jawad has had extensive exposure to legal processes and procedures as an accredited interpreter. He joined ABC Multlingua and Oncall Interpreters and Translators providing onsite and telephone interpreting in a variety of settings with the health community, and legal sectors. Through this, Jawad facilitated highly professional and accurate communications at the Administrative Appeals Tribunals (AAT), and Federal Court of Australia. Jawad led and managed several Student and Cultural Organisations as a President, Manager, Public Officer, and Team Leader. Just to name a few, as the Manager of Daricha Periodical Publication, President of the Association of Australian Tertiary Students from Afghanistan, and Public Officer of the Adina Cultural Association Inc, he chaired both Executive and General meetings and coordinated multiple educational and community events. Jawad also successfully managed the role and associated duties of Team Leader at the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.

Life outside of Beena Rezaee Legal & Migration

Jawad enjoys reading books, attending community programs, and assisting new arrival to start a good and happy life in Australia (social-cultural integration). He loves catching up with friends and families and hitting on the road to visit colleagues and explore the outback.
